SPINAL MANIPULATION TREATMENTS and INTERFERRENTIAL THERAPY (IFC)
SPINAL MANIPULATION TREATMENTS and INTERFERRENTIAL THERAPY (IFC)

Spinal Manipulation Treatments are one of the natural approaches in alternative medicine that may help restore muscle damage caused by motor vehicle accidents (MVA), and restore the body’s aches and pains to a better and healthier level in a short period of time.

Spinal Manipulation Treatments

Our chiropractor may relieve you from your spinal symptoms WITHOUT an adjustment at all. He is able to utilize several methods other than spinal adjustment (also known as cracking).

Adjustments help to relieve pressure on the joints and surrounding nerves, allowing your spine to return to its proper position. It also helps to decrease muscle spasm and to restore normal mobility to the affected area.

Chiropractic therapy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual procedure. Chiropractors assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system, and joints of the extremities and provide diagnosis, treatment and prevention of those disorders. These may also include headaches and injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents. Chiropractors primarily employ adjustments in their therapy, but they also incorporate postural, exercise, and nutritional advice to enable patients to achieve better health.

Adjustments are highly skilled, gentle manipulations of the spine that are used to correct subluxations, also known as spinal/joint misalignments. They are usually performed by a chiropractor’s hands, however, a small hand-held instrument may also be used to apply a quick low force specifically to the needed area. Manipulation may not have to be used. Muscle release may be used as an alternative. Adjustments may also be assisted by a specialized table. In certain cases, chiropractors will adapt the procedure to meet the specific needs of each patient.

Remember you have only one spine and it should last you a lifetime. Give it the importance that it deserves.

Muscle aches and Interferential Therapy (IFC).

Medical literature points out that there are at least three common causes of muscle pain. Namely, they are muscle tension, muscle stress, overuse, and minor injuries. These types of pain are usually localized, affecting just a few tendons of muscles, a joint, or a small part of the body. These pains could be caused by many transient sicknesses including strenuous exercises, stress, anxiety and tension, injuries, colds, flu, medication, and overconsumption of acidic meat and their allergens. In my opinion, Pain due to allergens related to meat is the most painful and most severe.

Muscle pain does not dissipate immediately after therapy with manipulation, Interferential therapy (IFC) or massage therapy. Rather, it may get a little worse overnight and start to show improvement starting the following morning.

To treat muscular issues, we employ Interferential Therapy (IFC) imported from Germany, which stands as the first choice of treatment since IFC achieves its goals of recovery of tissues by delivering

  1. In contrast with Tense therapy, IFC is a higher-frequency current that penetrates deeper into the tissue with less discomfort, while Tense therapy delivers low-frequency current across the surface of the skin.
  2. Reduces swelling by employing electrical current to achieve the intended reduction,
  3. relieve muscular pain, and
  4. stimulate muscle's normal function

Interferential therapy helps the body in the following

  1. release endorphins to promote recovery
  2. while increasing blood circulation to the area to support the body's natural healing process.
  3. helps decrease swelling and inflammation and reduce or eliminate pain.

Interferential treatment applies two different frequencies to produce a medium-frequency current within the muscle tissues. Normally it may require 4-6 treatments to achieve lesser pain and aggravations. Chronic cases may require 10 treatments. A treatment is a collection of several applications on several areas of the body to address involved muscles.
